- The movie greatly lacked in giving glory to God. In Steve Saint's book, "End of the Spear", his whole point was how God orchestrated his father's death, and in doing so directs all of the glory to God.
- The movie describes a little bit of what happens after Nate Saint's death, but fails to give the big picture of how God used this tragedy for good.
There are quite a few other things I didn't like, but my goal isn't to rant about a movie as if it were intended for entertainment only. I know God will continue to use this story, and who knows, the movie just might reach alot of people. What are everybody else's thoughts?

He said, "They're not ready for heaven, and we are" or something like that. I appreciated that they threw that in at least.
I wasn't blown away by the movie, but what can you expect?
My opinion, if you really want the story it is best to watch one of the documentaries or read the book.
Personally, I thought it was good. Because of what has come out of hollywood has kept my expectations down, I was not dissapointed. Yes, maybe the focus was on the missionaries (and not God), however, at least the story is being told at all. They could have really taken it to the dumps (protraying missionaries as something they're not), but they chose to reveal integrity to history (for the most part).
I give it a thumbs up. :~)
I am very, very disappointed. WHERE'S THE GOSPEL? There was none. The soul purpose that these missionaries were willing to die, and their husbands did, was for spreading the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. This glorious gospel of Jesus Christ was subverted with an infinite less message of (humanitarianism), just please stop spearing each other. One of peace and tolerance. These missionary minded men would turn over in their graves, knowing that no gospel was mentioned. The very thing they would have desired most was glaringly missing. And the thing they gave up the world and their lives for.
This was not just comming out of hollywood. This was surpose to be a Christian production. However if you read their mission statement nothing much, is Christian about them.
And the actor Chad Allen- who played Nate and Steve Saint is a homosexual advocate. Or as the bible designates a 'sodomite'. Chad Allen hopes that this movie will only bridge the cap of tolerance between gays and Christians. Read this to learn more about it, along with an interview on "The Larry King Show"-with John MacArthur, and Chad Allen. http://www.sharperiron.org/showthread.php?t=2244
After John Piper dies, and if they want to make a movie of his life, would we be out raged, if, they used a non-christian pro-advocate sodomite actor; who has an agenda not of spreading a passion of the supremacy of Christ for all people in Christ, but rather his own agenda? One who doesn't love Jesus Christ, and leaves out the gospel. The very thing Piper lives for. Would we still applaud such a movie. How much do we love the gospel? How much do we love Jesus?Where is our righteous godly jealousy?
Did you see that Rufus died. It is hard to type because the keyboard is soaked with tears.
LOL R.C.
As for the movie, I think the article Dan mentioned is pretty convincing. All this talk about being martyred has touched my heart in manny significant ways, but in my opinion our brother's and sister's in Christ that have laid asside the comforts of living in the U.S.and voluntarily joned the armed services to fight for our fredom in Iraq, and Afganistan should be revered just as high.
As our guest speaker said Sunday, He took some straps from a building that was not bombed to daily remind him that the bonbs being droped are buying more time.
that's my 2 1/2 cents
He just posted, give him a few more weeks
